Eastenders Repertory Company presents Frenzy For Two, Or More
Part of Series B of 106 Years of Comedy!

Ionesco’s 1962 absurdist farce debuted in Paris on a triple bill with plays by two contemporaries under the collective title Chemises de nuit ("Nightgowns"). In Frenzy For Two, Or More, a couple living amidst a kind of generic revolution engage in endless and senseless quarrels. The lovers' incessant arguing mirrors the physical chaos around them and vice versa. The play has highly structured rhythmical movement, alternating calm and frenzy, silence and dialogue, stillness and stage business. Ionesco compared his plays to Feydeau’s comedies, both sharing 'a sort of acceleration of movement, a progression, a kind of folly.'
